dave1g, the MPEG2 decoders are for the inputs. Not the tv tuner. The tuner is software encoding. But the card is excellent. Picture quality is great.

dunno. Hardware decoders are not included in most new entry level capture/tv cards I've seen (as stated pvr 350 has one) and the reson is most modern computers can do software decoding with no proplems at all. The original poster should have no problem with his rig. Also the encoder on the pvr...

FYI the Retail version of the card has the splitter already. Don't know about OEM (doubt it) But I had an extra one on my PSU and just used that.

Well I never take it that personal. There are nicer ways to say it, but the point is the same. It is first a benifit for the person looking for an answer. Alot of times out of a hundred the question has been answered and sometimes one or two threads earlier.
