I am pretty sure 4X1 does not equal 8. So before you got more ram how much ram did you have, 4 or 8?

When do you get thees errors, on startup? Try resetting the mobo settings, even if you haven't changed any of them, see if that helps

Its not "DDR5" its "GDDR5" And "GDDR5" is the gpu memory(witch is standard so you don't need to worry about it). "DDR3" is the RAM memory. I hope I cleared out your confusion:)
