    All they really had to do was not solder the gpu to the mobo and this would all be easy, just replace the gpu.

    My laptop is a dv2700, which was left out of the lawsuit. I have the same issue (has a geforce 8400 gpu). Never buying HP or Nvidia again. I take care of my stuff and I expect my $1k laptop to last over 2 years.
