My old hhd got some blocks corrupted due to power cuts , about 1 or 2 everyday. I recently added samsung 980 500gb SSD to setup. Will this shorten my SSD life? Data corruption risk I'm aware of and have set up cloud backup for imp data, i want to know about hardware damage.
To be honest, Softwares are built with much more recent hardware in mind. 2GB ddr2 will struggle with chrome + youtube too. You need to upgrade to new system to see signification improvement. Your hardware is much more old.
I see a lot of articles mentioning turning off Win defrag for SSD life. Many of them are old but some of them are recent enough. Is windows still don't consider this basic thing for SSD?
Ok I reset the CMOS battery. Still no display. What can be done?
I think some hardware has failed as I was performance testing when the system died.
Update: ok I pressed down the HWRST reset button for 10 sec. I was able to get into bios and boot into windows. But after 15 30 seconds into...
Will this reset my bios version too? Because factory bios don't support my cpu. And don't have ryzen 1 series cpu to update bios again.
Ok ignore ,lutfij already answered
Yes. Only change, added samsung 980 nvme ssd to setup.
PSU age 4 years, cooler master mwe 450 230v
BISO version: 4602,
By default it came with older bios but my friend had ryzen 1600 so i was able to update it for ryzen 5 2600
Another question, if i do CMOS battery reset. Will my bios version be reduced? This is because b350 don't support ryzent 2600 out of box. And i can't upgrade bios without ryzen 1 series cpus
I recently upgraded ram to dual channel 2 slots. I had DOCP turned on and was using this setting for week with no issue.
Today I was performance testing system. My CPU and RAM was at 100%. I ran this for 5 minutes (cpu~85c). My system died after test and not booting up now
I am not even able to...
I think unplugging the HDD before SSD windows installation and plugging it back again will be fine. Need to confirm this as I never have tested this.
Also, what will happen to the C drive on HDD as there will be a new C drive on SSD now?
I have exam tomorrow but my webcam isn't working. I know solutions like irium webcam app but it requires to keep running an application in windows in order to function. The issue is my exam launcher kills this app and renders mobile webcam unusable. I need more ideas for this.
For now, I have a separate disk partition with BitLocker but it makes people curious as it visible directly in file explorer.
Is there any software/program for doing the same job. Like a digital vault. Which will stay hidden among 100's of other things installed on the pc?
Mod edit: OS = Windows 10
I don't have ANC mic. I wonder if there is any tool that could give something to work with?
I need it for discord not songs recording etc. so recording first then applying NC with audacity isn't an option.
