Rafi, good point. I think realistically, I have to allow additional budget above the OS, and yes I need the OS unfortunately...$400 doesn't go far...and yes, I'm in the US. I'm no expert, but your list looks legit to me, that might be as affordable as it gets. Thanks!

You guys gave the answer I expected, but didn't want to hear...I knew in my head the I5 was the way to go, but wanted to stay on budget. As far as budget, I wanted to stay at $500 originally, looks like the list is at $502 right now, Lol What would be a good recommendation for a "low end GPU"...

I'm just looking to put together a good, dependable box that will suit my needs. No gaming or overkill craziness. I use photoshop 20% of the time, Corel Video editor 20% Audio editing and other misc software=15% and the remaining is just internet surfing. I like to have online radio streaming...
