Question Monitor disappears from system when turned off. Device disconnect sound plays, displays refresh

Hello all, I wanted to ask about a behavior I'm seeing from my monitor. It's an AOC G2460P and I used to have it connected via HDMI to my GTX 1070 (not to or super) in my Windows 10 PC with an ASROCK B450 gaming-ITX/AC motherboard. When the monitor was hooked up via HDMI, the system still saw...

What is the best silent cooler for i9-9900K if I keeping it running 24/7?

I'm going to agree with volkgren. If you're really using this CPU, it's going to make so much heat that pretty much any CPU cooler will ramp up at least a little. The fact of the matter is that your CPU simply produces too much heat to keep it cool and silent. If you're going for full load...

No video output from video card or onboard graphics before windows login screen

Another option is to suspect that the CMOS settings have become corrupted and video output is borked until Windows takes over. For this, I would suggest a CMOS reset. 1) Unplug machine. 2) Remove CMOS battery from motherboard (looks like a watch battery). 3) Press and hold power button for 30...

No video output from video card or onboard graphics before windows login screen

I don't know if this will actually make a difference or not, but would you mind checking if you have other options to connect to your display? Older methods like VGA or DVI might help, maybe.

So Zen 2 will be using the same socket? I figured they'd pull some AM4+ crap like they did with FM2, AM3.

[SOLVED] I need help my PC ran in problems

Turn the machine off and unplug it. Press and hold the power button for at least 5 seconds to drain any remaining power. Once this is done, hold the clear CMOS button for at least 5 seconds. After that's done, feel free to plug it back in and turn it on. It will have forgotten the date and...

[SOLVED] I need help my PC ran in problems

If I had to guess, the clear CMOS button is on the bottom of the board under the lowest red slot. It looks to be just to the right of a fan connector down there. It's just a small black button on top of a silver switch cover. I've circled it in the below image.

    Which cpu is better

Well for right now, I'd recommend Ryzen for the price to performance. However, the i5 offers better options for CPU upgrades in the future. This comes at a higher price, of course. What is your budget? What resolution is your display? What special tech classes will this be used for (eg...

What are your system specs? What display are you using? How are you connecting your computer to said display? (DVI, DislayPort, HDMI, etc)

Tom's Hardware has a checklist for problems with booting up and video output. Please complete this checklist, then post back with any new information. http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-1893016/post-system-boot-video-output-troubleshooting-checklist.html
