Hi,

Got budget for a £2800 gaming PC build. Yes, I know this is overkill, but it's not for me and said person wants the best of the best lol.

Was thinking along the lines of i9 9900k & 2080 ti but open to suggestions.

If anyone can provide some parts lists that'd be great. Cooling is going to be quite important so please include good quality case fans in your builds.

Thanks!

That high budget, Better wait few more months as next gen hardware is going to launch from NVIDIA and AMD just in few months probably around September/October. I recommend purchasing it around November or December if you want decent offers or can purchase at launch if in hurry. But for now no need to spend it to get the stuff that is going to be replaced in very short time. In the mean Time ask him to add as much as possible to the budget to go all out with the build.

The i7 10700k superseded the 9900k for less. I would struggle to recommend buying the overpriced 2080Ti now when it looks like in 3 months the new 3000 series will be out and it’s fair to expect the 3080 to equal or outperform a 2080Ti in no Ray Tracing games. However for Ray Tracing the performance improvement are supposed to be very significant with the 3000 series.

Cheers for the reply, but the idea is to build now to sell and upgrade after the new launch.
