0x80070570 error on installation

I keep getting this error on 96% on every installation of Windows.
I have two copies of Windows (7 & 10, respectively, on a DVD and a thumb drive) and both of them keep getting stuck on 96% and I won't go further before getting this error:

I have tried everything from clickilng cancel and starting the installation again to rebooting, and nothing seem to work.

put USB stick you used into another PC
go to explorer and right click the USB
select properties/tools/error checking

scan and repair drive (this is unlikely to work for the DVD)
