Im trying to run a 1:1 ration and my system wont boot windows.Maybe im doing something wrong. here are my settings for a 3ghz.

FSB:1333 - 3.0ghz
MEM:800mhz 5-5-5-18 unlinked

CPU CORE: 1.325v
CPU FSB: 1.30v
MEM: 1.8v
Nforce SPP: 1.40
NF200 : Auto 1.20

I asume setting FSB to 1600 which gives me 3.2 and 8x multiplier will be 1:1 cause ram is exactly 800mhz. and the problem starts.any suggestions please?

I'd try a few things.

Increase your vcore to 1.4v and CPU FSB to 1.4v
Change your FSB(QDR) + or - 50mhz, you might be stuck in a FSB hole.

Lastly use the 9x CPU multi and see if you can boot at 3.2ghz ( 356mhz x 9) or 1422mhz FSB.

FSB hole is basically a range with your FSB in which anything you do, does not stabilize your system.

It's a combination of CPU and motherboard. Mostly prevalent on Nvidia chipsets.

I know first hand, because I have a E8200 paired up with Asus P5N-D 750i motherboard. At certain speeds, around 2.8ghz (1400 FSB), 3.2ghz (1600FSB), and 3.4ghz (1700 FSB), my system was not stable. When I swapped to an E8400, my system was stable within all of the FSB ranges that my E8200 was unstable at.

well that sucks. oh well 3.0ghz is fine for me max temps are 60 load and it works well with my 2 gpu's no bottlneck so im ok with that.

thanx 4 the info
