Hi everyone,

I want to ask question here regarding what's happening to my PC. What is the faulty hardware on my system?

I have a 10 years old PC, designed just to do my daily tasks everyday and sometimes play low end games. It does a hell of a job to be honest.

Here's the system:

Motherboard: GA-F2A78M-HD2
Processor: AMD A8-7600 Radeon R7, 10 Compute Cores 4C+6G
RAM: 8GB Hyper X 1866 Mhz
HDD: 500 GB Seagate Barracuda
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

It was performing fine and then one day it just gives me a static lag issue but still performs okay, but the following day after I boot it up, it started extremely slow like an hour or more just to boot up and once it boots up to my desktop menu everything is just so slow I can't even refresh because it will load for a long time, everything is damn super slow. I tried to re-format the system and I was successful on doing so after 24 hours of re-formatting into windows 7 which was previously just an hour or else.

I believe it's a faulty hardware, but I don't even know which one. What do you think?

Solution
maybe download Seatools bootable on another PC and then run it off USB?
if the problem is the drive, it won't take as long to boot off USB

Generally really slow load times = hdd.
if drive as old as everything else, its about time it was replaced.

buy a new drive and install onto it instead.
