Hey everyone,

So I'm building my new pc outside the case to test everything. First boot everything goes well, windows starts doing some recognizing and the pc works fine. I monitored the computer temperature and I noticed 3 of my CPU cores were on 30 celcius, but 1 was on -60 and 1 on 130. So I took of my intel stock cooler and reapplied the thermal paste. After trying to boot it up again I noticed the PC wasn't giving a signal. I removed the RAM and replaced it several times untill I realised I didn't plug my monitor in yet. When I did, the PC still wouldn't give a signal (but it would boot) with both RAM sticks in. Only when there's 1 stick of RAM in the first slot the PC boots. I have a mini-itx board so there's only 2 RAM slots.

Does anyone know what to do?

Thanks in advance

Solution
Hello... You should do a CMOS reset... wanna try that? The BIOs will re-read you RAM sticks and will autoset new communication settings for them.

Take your time here and be slow and careful to your MB... look in your MB manual/Pdf for pictures and location of the SW/pins. B )
1) un-plug PS from wall.
2) remove MB battery
3) place jumper pins OR push switch on MB to clear the capacitors... for ~2 mins
4) remove Jumper/switch connection.
5) re-install battery
6) plug monitor into the MB or video card output.
7) plug in PS to wall
8) Boot computer.

Yes I already tried both RAM sticks work

There's a chance that you fried it or damaged something. Most PC builders are not nearly careful enough about ESD, especially in cooler weather. But it could be you forgot to plug something in again. Check all your wiring. Reseat the RAM.

This worked for me in getting my PC to recognize my RAM and to POST, thanks!
