The more I read articles about the new titan p, the more I seem to see bottlenecks with cpu's and motherboards related to the new gpu's. Can anyone explain where we are at with this? I'm not sure I'm following what the articles are saying in this department. If I pick up a 6700k skylake to go with a 1080 or a 1080 titan p or a 1080ti am I running into bottlenecks already?

Thanks.

6700K and any GPU is fine.

The issue arises probably because the 1070/80 are quite a jump from the previous 970/980 and even Titan in some cases, so some CPUs which were OK with those might start to hold the new 10 series back. 1080ti and Titan P aren't even out yet so no one knows. Really any new i5/i7 will be fine.

Just stuff like this I guess. It's all speculation, but some seems more likely than others, so I figured I'd see if there was any steam to this. Sounds like it might be more joke than reality. Not sure.
