Question 100% disk utilisation on Windows 10

My dad's Lenovo ideapad 320 on Windows 10 is running very slow and the disk usage is always very high.

I've ran a chkdsk and fix but the high disk usage remains. I know there's a lot of threads on this forum regarding high disk usage on Windows 10, but still haven't pinpointed exactly what the problem is on this machine.

I'm only in the country a couple of weeks each year so am desperate to fix his machine soon.
Is there a log file anywhere in C:\Windows\System32\LogFiles that I can upload for help determining the problem and a potential fix?

For me personally, I have found that this kind of weirdness might be caused by Superfetch, or window's built-in antivirus. When does this 100% usage happen?
