guys i just cant take it anymore , i have tried each and every method in order to fix it but nothing works, firstly it was 100% disk usage while idle , but after fixing some little things i've got rid of the idle 100% usage problem , but a new issue showed up , which is when i do simple things like opening internet browser or opening microsoft word the disk usage rises up to 100% !! , so i started to believe that its the hdd not the windows 7 problem

so what do you think guys
sharing your thoughts helps me a lot , and i would appreciate it
Thank you

Start > Settings > System > Notifications > Un-check Show app notifications (I actually have all those things unchecked)

It has worked wonders for a lot of people.

Do some googling. The fix I posted is, in fact, for 100% hdd usage. It may not fix yours, but what if it is... It's one of the tweaks for win 10 that does wonders and in my opinion should be done on any computer that does not use notifications...

He's not running Windows 10, he's on Windows 7. Abode came from Windows 10 initially and had the same issue, then quickly moved to Windows 7 to see if that was the issue and the problem followed.

So rather than us doing some Googling, you may want to read the entire thread, and the one that Abode originally started. Rather than popping into a two page + thread and post unhelpful irrelevant information and then defend it by telling us to use Google.

Oh, wait a minute, you posted that on April 1st, ha ha ha, that was April Fools wasn't it?

Abode, Looking at those numbers, you are right in line performance wise. Here is a screenshot of my computer as I am having STEAM install Crysis Wars. As you can see my disk usage is quite low. However initially (before the download started) it went up to 33% as STEAM was allocating disk space and setting up the directories. Once the download started it settled right down though.

Can you an post an updated screenshot of your Task Manager when the disk usage is high. And just for the sake of being thorough, can you post a screenshot of Programs and Features (using the List option so we can see everything on one page).

i expected them to be a wayyyy higher its like between 36% to 40% disk usage it shows 18% because i have 2 drives which means 18% usage is 36% usage on one drive, BTW when it was allocating space for the game it took 100% from the disk usage !
