Hi,
I would like to share an issue I have recently started having with my GPU.
After Restart/Startup the GPU (GTX 1080) usage will spike and stay at 99%, upon trying everything I could come up with and searching online I found that the only thing I could do to fix it was to remove my wifi adapter. Doing this would "fix" the issue and my GPU would go back to 1-2%, and gaming performance would improve accordingly, almost like a new card.
After which I could reinsert the wifi adapter and all would run well, until I restart the pc.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why this may be? I have a sneaking suspicion that it may be someone using my pc to crypto mine without my knowledge, but have no idea as to how to identify if this is the cause and prevent it in the future. If it was truly a GPU issue why would the issue resolve once the wifi adapter was disconnected and then reconnected?
Thank you in advance.
EDIT - Had to use a different malware scanner, PC was indeed infected.
