I just got my brand new ASUS GeForce GTX1060-O6G-GAMING Strix - 6GB today, and its
performing very bad ingames. (My old GPU was a 750ti). I think its something with bottlenecking,
but I get like 200 fps in csgo low settings. I got 200 on medium with the other card.

Specs: ASUS GeForce GTX1060-O6G-GAMING Strix - 6GB

Cpu: i7 860

Motherboard: P55M-UD2

Is it the 32bit version, or 64bit version? You can check by right clicking the start menu, and click "System". Under system, it tells you if your OS is 32 bit or 64 bit. It will also tell you how much RAM it thinks is installed.

64 bit. Detects 8gb but says 4gb can be used.

When I try and run Belarc it says checking network something, and then it says google chrome is unresponeable restart now? And just doenst open.

A website popped up with everything, but this caught my eye. 4092 Megabytes Usable Installed Memory

Slot 'A0' has 4096 MB
Slot 'A1' is Empty
Slot 'A2' has 4096 MB
Slot 'A3' is Empty

I see what you copy / pasted in regarding the slots, what is telling you only 4096 is usable ?

Did you ever answer the 32 Bit versus 64 bit question ... Belarc should tell you that too

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_10_editions#Comparison_chart

Maximum physical memory (RAM) for Windows Home = 4 GB on IA-32 / 128 GB on x86-64

Maximum physical memory (RAM) for Windows Pro / Enterprise / Education = 4 GB on IA-32
2048 GB on x86-64

Yeah, 64 bit

do u mean this? https://gyazo.com/0de73e79f14e24fd6093f713ae5bf3fb

I understood that you got this

Slot 'A0' has 4096 MB
Slot 'A1' is Empty
Slot 'A2' has 4096 MB
Slot 'A3' is Empty

from Belarc

I still don't know:

a) where "4092 Megabytes Usable Installed Memory" came from

b) What version of Windows you are using 32 or 64 it ... it's been asked 3 or 4 times, directions provided as to how to find out, charts as to what versions support which amounts of memory linked to, but still no answer.... or am I just not seeing it ?

ithout you answering that question, the analysis can not proceed. If you have 8, 16, 32 or 64 GB of RAM installed, if using Windows 32 bit, the system will never see anything above that 4 GB. That's why everyone is asking that question.

64, this right? https://gyazo.com/11f9e25cecd979ffd245d7eaf67eff92

I assume so...tho, again, no idea where it's coming from. A statement that for example says:

"Belarc Advisor reports that Windows 10, 64 bit Home is installed"

is better than an image.

If it's a 64 bit OS and RAM is seated correctly as well as installed in the "primary" slots as pictured or described in the MoBo manual, then it's time to run Memtest86+

Before you start, label your sticks 1 and 2 with piece of tape

Step 1 ... run metest with 1st stick in the primary slot where it says in the manual "If you have 1 stick installed, install it here...."

Step 2 ... run metest with 2nd stick in the primary slot where it says in the manual "If you have 1 stick installed, install it here...."

Step 3 ... run metest with 1st stick in the secondary slot where it says in the manual "If you have 1 stick installed, install it here....", then install it in the other one

Step 4 ... run metest with 2nd stick in the secondary slot where it says in the manual "If you have 1 stick installed, install it here....", then install it in the other one

Well, this is what it says under the "Operating System" https://gyazo.com/de45e27309698af801f72036dd0ba91e

Gonna try and run the Memtest now.

How do I know which one is 1 and 2, lol.

1. Again, less interested in what it said than where you read it ... assuming Belarc

2. You can pick what stick you want to name in any way you want to name them ... Call them 1 and 2, Mary and Susan , Donald and Hillary, George and Ringo or even name them after the slots they were in. The point is, when you are done you want to know what stick failed in what slot.

Donald Works in A0
Hillary failed in A0 means Hillary is dead stick

Donald and Hillary worked in A0
Donald and Hillary failed in A2

Means slot A2 is dead

Again check manual to see what belongs where 1st ... see page 16
http://download1.gigabyte.us/Files/Manual/mb_manual_ga-p55m-ud2_e.pdf

It says to install the memory in slots labeled DDR3_1 and DDR3_3 which starting from the CPU socket and going to right, would be the 2nd and 4th slots. If you have them in 1st and 3rd, fix it.

Stick 1 slot 1 says hdmi no signal detected
Stick 2 slot 1 says hdmi no signal detected
Stick 1 slot 2 keeps turning on and off
Stick 2 slot 2 keeps turning on and off
Stick 1 slot 3 says hdmi no signal detected
Stick 2 slot 3 says hdmi no signal detected
Stick 1 slot 4 works but says 4gb unknown but still shows 4gb in task manager
Stick 2 slot 4 works but says 4gb unknown but still shows 4gb in task manager

I have no idea what's going on, I have no idea ... heck I didn't even know memtest86+ was capable of throwing an HDMI message. You are not testing memory, your signal is not getting to monitor. Where are you running MemTest86+ from... you do now that yu need to create aboot CD with the porgram on it and boot from that right ?

Yes. And the other link I showed was from Belarc.

Just to be sure, what do I show you. Just to make sure its the right screen.

You can forget about posting any images ... those don't really help. You need to follow the direction and start by creating a boot CD / DVD. Then you boot from the CD / DVD (or thumb drive) and run the program from that source. The result is simply it passes or it doesn't. Anything less than 2 hours is useless ... I usually run overnight (8 - 12 hours)

I know how to do it, but I'm not a pro, so I dont know what to look for.

Hate to practically say it but generally all 10N0 cards are overrated. I own a 1070 and it has it's goods and bads.

As for older games, there are way too many factors to even consider a relevant comparison. Yes, I can get 1k+ FPSs in some old games with a 5 years old card while on the new ones I won't exceed 400. That's only limited in relevance.

Sorry for not responding in a long ass time, I decided to just upgrade my pc.
