1060 crashing bsod

Hello, I am having problems with my gigabyte 1060 6gb oc card.
When i play forza horizon 3 i will launch the game play for couple minutes and the screen will turn black and exit to desktop. Also when i was playing counter strike i got Nvlddmkm.sys erroe and blue screen.
I got the latest drivers
checked all the system files

i7 6800k oced to 3.7
16gb ram 3200mhz
msi x99a gaming 7
850watt psu
1060 gigabyte 6gb oc

It may be drivers, you haven't touched GPU clocking, right?

try reinstalling the GPU driver and doing the "clean install" option. you could also try a slightly older driver as well if the first suggestion doesn't work

i got the clock set through gigabyte application to gaming setting. But it doesnt matter because same thing happened on all settings (oc mode, gaming mode, and eco mode)

Close the gigabyte app then, I'm using MSI Gaming App for the sack of LED lights but its not great at stabilization either. See if that helps.

I reinstalled drivers uninstall ed gigabyte application and still crashed is there a log of why it crashes?

Close the gigabyte app then, I'm using MSI Gaming App for the sack of LED lights but its not great at stabilization either. See if that helps.

Not sure, there has to be but no idea how to access if it exists. I asked you to try games without gigabyte app.

I found the log, couple apps didn't work like they're suppose to so I uninstalled Intel turbo boost app and couple others and so far it works fine

i had this same problem with my old HD 7970 and uninstalling MSI afterburner worked for me. glad you figured it out because it drove me nuts for about 10 months

I only played for couple hours but we will see. BUT yes it drove me crazy too especially that it's a new build I kept wondering if all the hardware works fine and I spent all that money on a new pc and it crashed which didn't happen in my old one.

I'm glad you found a fix on your own as I was about to talk about other apps interfering anyway >😛
