Question 1080 ti periodically blacks out in full screen games

my 1080 ti suddenly started blacking out my screen while playing full screen games, for maybe 2-5 seconds at a time and maybe 2 seconds apart, so i can barely see my game , it runs everything perfectly in windowed mode and it just started happening after my new motherboard install, it previously happened a tiny bit in world of warcraft but not enough for me to ask for help, i have only had the time to see this glitch happen in mw2 remastered but id imagine it happens in other games, it only happens on the monitor i play on , the others stay working
