TLDR: Zotac 1080 ti mini, replaced old rattling fans with new ones, default minimum fan speed for this card is 44%, new fans minimum speed is 75%.
Context:
Hello, my old gpu fans were rattling really badly so I ordered new ones from amazon, they look exactly the same as the stock ones even having the zotac sticker.
Opened up the card and replaced both of the old fans with the new ones, closed it up and put it back into the pc, on start up with no delay, I could hear them immediately going to a high fan speed.
When opening MSI afterburner the fan speed was set to 44% and changing it wouldnt increase or decrease the fan speed, I downloaded the old zotac firestorm program for 10th gen gpu's to try and control the fan speed from there, when I opened firestorm the fan speed it displayed was 75%, trying to set it for lower didnt change the speed, however changing the speed to a higher value than 75% would increase the fan speed, tried it on msi afterburner and it worked there aswell, meaning the fan curve isnt static.
I reinstalled the old fans and the default went back to normal 44%.
Currently I have the new ones installed as the jet engine speed sound is actually better than the rattling.
Has anyone ever came across this? is there any software Im missing that could fix the fan curve back to normal?
