I have a TV(Philips) as main display for my PC. When I try using 1920x1080 or any resolution higher than 1360x768 it overscans. The only solution I found almost useful is to use 1842x1036 as default resolution, but small things(icons, text etc.) are very blurry.
I know that it supports 1080p because it has some "Screen Fit" that I've used some months ago (before buying PC) but turned it off because I thought it was useless and cannot enable it because my remote is broken. Also cannot do the "Volume Up + Volume Down" menu because my TV has only one button that can be moved like a Joystick/Analog.

Additional information:
TV PHILIPS TV 32PHH4200/88 ,not SMART or Android TV
PC: MEDIONPC MS-7728

NVIDIA GeForce GT 530
4GB DDR3 RAM

Solution
If you can't access settings through the joystick interface, then you're in the market for a new remote control handset.

Phillips really blew it on that one.

Pressing the joystick in should bring up the menu. All the televisions that I have, that have that irritating joystick thing, are able to access all menu functions and settings through the joystick center-press and up/down/sideways/center-press to select methods.
I know, but there isn't any aspect ratio setting. Only Volume,Channel and Source
