1080p: Ryzen 7 vs Core i7

At the moment I'm between the i7 and the R5/R7 2xxx. So, which to choose?
Here's a little price comparison (prices in brazilian Real):

It depends on the graphic card you are going to use. If you are going to use a GTX 1060 6G or equivalent (RX 580 RX 570) or lower, you have enough with the I5 8400 or with Ryzen 5 2600 or 2600x.

If you are going for a GTX 1070 or higher you should consider an I7 8700K

What framerate are you aiming for? If its 60/75hz you will not notice any difference. Perhaps at 144hz+ you may experience a difference between the two processors but it will also depend on the rest of your system along with the game played.

it's going to depend on the type of games you play. some games will really take advantage of multiple threads. some games only use a few threads. for gaming intel is still the way to go
