[SOLVED] 1080ti works on my computer but not my friends Help

I have a i7 8700k , ASUS ROG Strix Z370-E MB

My friend has a i7 10700K, MSI MAG B460 TOMAHAWK MB

I just had him update it but haven't been able to check it yet will try again another day I will update this post once i'm able to check

Are you using the same PCIe slot and power cables for each card in his PC? Possible bad port/plug

I used both pcie slots and used the same cables for the 1080ti and the 970 and the 970 worked fine I'm going to hope the bios update will be the solution

I got it working also do you have any recommendations for a 240 aio for the 10700k my friend is using a h60 and it's not doing a very good job it got over 80c when he compressed a file
