Solution
Make sure your computer is relatively dust-free. Remove the cooler and reapply the thermal paste. Make sure there is enough airflow inside the case (remove the side panel to see if it makes a difference). Given that it ran at >100C for 2 hours, it could, however, be the software mireading the temperature.
