10Mbps instead of 11Mbps

The settings page of my modem says that my PC should be getting 1000Mbps and all laptops are getting around 100Mbps, but my PC is connected by cable and only seems to get 5~10Mbps on speedtest, I have it connected through a devolo powerline adapter that should work on 1000Mbps so thats probably not the issue.
I live in Holland so my internet provider is Ziggo

(settings page of my modem showing the connection to my PC)

Any ideas?

So that eliminates DSL. So yes, your laptops are spot on with WiFi. And it sounds as if your ISP is a cable broadband company.

Again, try another outlet. The adapters work best when they are cloest together. Also you are trying to have signal travel through an additional floor, this could be a bit poor as well.

How do I know the ISP speed? If its speedtest.net result then I get 5~10Mbps
The brand of powerline is devolo, the model is 1200+
I just change the LAN port from 4 to 1 but there is not difference in speed
All my connections are relatively clean, not sure about the wiring in the house itself though...
I can't connect my PC directly because it is on the 3rd floor of the house where as the modem is on the 1st

Well, the ISP promises you either 15,25, 100, 300 MBPS or some other number. The point is, you want to know the ISP speed to know what speed you should be getting. Again, you may want to change outlets to be safe. The closer the adapters all, the better it should work. However, could be faulty wiring.

The speed you get from your ISP is what the contract says it is. There is no way to really know this since many times they offer different speeds on the same type of connection. To get a actual answer you would need to ask your ISP what speed you are suppose to get.

I strongly suspect you have a DSL connection with speeds that low. It really doesn't matter how fast your PC or your powerline units are if you have a crappy internet connection. This is like buy a high powered sports car that can do 200mph but you live on a dirt road full of potholes.

I thought that too based off the title, and I was going to say that the ISP used bandwidth from the allocated amount to maintain a connection. But then he said his laptops are getting 100mbps, which lets me know he has cable probably, at least that's what I see.

okay so my ISP says the speed should be 150Mbit/s (this is exactly what the website says just not to get the whole Mbps/MBps confusion)
Also not sure if this helps but my modem gets internet from a coax cable

I'll try minimize the distance between the adapters, I'll respond back after I figured out any way to do that in my house and see if the speed goes up by a bit

Okay so i managed to find an ethernet cable that allows me to connect the adapter to the second floor, so the distance between both adapters is now one floor less (and maybe now they are in the same cluster of power cables) the speed has gone up to 50Mbps, needless to say you where right its probably just the distance and making sure they are in the same cluster. Thanks for all the help, really appreciate it!

No problem. Glad I could help. With 50mbps, at least you are getting some decent speeds.
