Question New M.2 SSD - need adapter to reformat the drive

I am trying to figure out how to format a newer M.2 drive from Hynix. However, it shows it uses 3.3v at 2.5 Amps which isn't normally available on the interface. I'm looking for some card adapter that will work. Any ideas would be welcomed.

The M.2 slot provides 3.3v. What are you trying to plug it into if not an M.2 slot?

The ssd is in an Lenovo Yoga laptop that all of a sudden isn't allowing a login and just loops trying to reinstall windows but asks for a wireless driver but won't allow it to run. It's in bitlocker mode which must have come from the factory. So, I need to format the drive as it's hosed right now. Drive indicates 3.3v at 2.5A which is not a standard PCIe 4 power.

I've already reviewed that and it doesn't show voltage and power requirements. According to what I've read the 3.3 Volt current requirement is greater than a normal M.2

So you create a Win 10/11 USB install thing, boot from that, and format as needed, with the drive in place.

It won't allow me to install a new copy of win 11 as it's stuck (I'm guessing in a recovery mode) and keeps asking for the wireless software which, again, it won't recognize.

Use Rufus usb to bypass internet requirement

After installation then try to update the driver (probably need to download from another pc)

You could try using NTLite to add the necessary driver to your install .ISO file.

Make a live Linux USB drive, Linux doesn't care what windows did to it's disk.
