Hi guys My present PC is working with 1150 socket Intel i3 4130 processor on gigabyte-GA H81-M which does not support os XP. But in my professional work I must work with XP due to some software issue.I am asking that what other motherboard that should support OS-XP on the present processor. Asus-B85M-G will work on 4130 i3 socket as per Flipkart description. But in Asus site XP compatibility is not mentioned. Could you suggest any other mobo to support XP.

did You miss? Or You think that software, that works in Windows XP and doesn't work in Vista/Seven/8/10 will work in Linux? Well, I'm sorry, but maybe in like 20 years, when all of those idiotic dumb ass distros unite. There are thousands of distributions for Linux and none is usable, besides government modified, or company modified distributions.

tea urchin - one of us is totally missing the point. I read how I read OPs post, he says he needs Windows XP for his custom software he uses for work.

No Linux can run Windows XP environment, nor its libraries, nor emulate it in virtual machine. Please read his post again.

Thank you guys for your prompt replies. The software 'efilm workstation 2.1.2' is now running on windows 7 in input (main) system. Data will transfer from input system to other support system that will give output (in film or could mail). Support system is running on XP. As per technician, both systems should not run on same OS versions but should run with same software??!!! He simply told me to follow what he set.. My issues are:
1. Could I install other higher version of this software in 2nd system to retrieve the same output from main system.
It is difficult to modify main system, that is the problem.
2. If any latest efilm workstation software is available and compatible for windows 7(for both systems) kindly advise me.
3. Other option,if any. Thank you.

No problem. Thank you very much.

But I can advise You on this. If You have free 1-3 TB external HDD, You could clone all the crucial HDDs/SSDs in Your system, and then try whether Your suggested will or won't work, and with cloned drives on external HDD, You can always roll back, nearly effortless.

Thank You very much. I will try as you said.
