11700K is a waste of siliconWhich CPU should I go with? Planning to do gaming with light programs, occasionally streaming (can easily do it on my 7700K right now.) I plan to play Fortnite, Overwatch, etc. (competitive at the most)

If you "can easily do it" on your 7700K why spend the money on anything else?

Update: I can also get the 10850K for a discount at Micro Center.
Yup AND $20 off a compatible mobo makes this a STEAL of a deal.
So, the big battle here is between 5600X and 10850K. I plan to game, work just a little bit, and I want to "future-proof" as much as I can. I won't OC since I'm new to all of this, and I do not want my GPU to go out, but if it does, I would like the easiest way to fix it.
Would this be better than a 5600X?
Then I would go with the 10850k, for better multicore support. Unless you are looking at a 3080/3090 class GPU, and playing 1080p, you wouldn't really see much difference.
because people want to play at 240fps competitive and stream it.Why would you run cards made for 1440p/4k at 1080p?
because people want to play at 240fps competitive and stream it.
also i would suggest waiting for the 5700x or 5800 non x version because these will have much better price to performance.
If you are playing fortnite/warzone, then you should go for the 10900k or 10850k because fortnite and warzone love those cpus for some reason. If it was me I would go for the 5900x if it was 499 but sadly it is not and it is not in stock right now. I myself was torn over this decision because these are all very good cpus.
what speed is your ram?
if you have 3600mhz or higher go for the 5800x
In-Between- do whatever the heck suits your budget.
if you have under 3200mhz go for a 10900k.
That's why I got a 3070 for 1080p to go 240 FPS and it gives me future proof with the gpu and cpu.because people want to play at 240fps competitive and stream it.
When it comes to games like that, users are going to turn down eye candy, and in some cases, aspect ratio along with it. The goal being the highest possible fps lows, which the gpu doesn't play a major part in.because people want to play at 240fps competitive and stream it.
