Hello,

Would it be worth it to buy a 128GB SSD for my PC that currently has a 2TB HDD?

I would also like to know what I should put on it, knowing that it is only 128GB.

What do you guys suggest and think about it?

Thank you.

An SSD is noticeably faster than and HDD. The boot time is faster, applications load faster, everything is just more crisp and snappy. Even though we are talking seconds and fractions of seconds difference, you will notice it and will become spoiled by it and never go back to HDD. As a hard example, I have compared speed times of and SSD vs and HDD. For an application that accesses data and charts data, the SSD completed the job about 35% faster than an HDD. Even though the difference amounted to about 1.5 seconds, it was a big difference as far as user experience.

As far as what you put on it, I would say everything you can. Since it is only 128GB I would put the OS on it and the things you access most often. Use the large HDD as mass storage and archiving for things you don't access very often.

In addition SSDs are less likely to crash and lose your data.

It depends on your local situation, but 256GB drives only cost a little more than 128GB one. For a few dollars more (usually $20-$50) you get better performance, longer life, and double the capacity. If your budget limits you to 128, it is still worth it, but you will get better value for your dollar if you jump up to 256.
