do i need to uninstall cap 2 driver b4 updating to 13.1

I don't think it's necessary to remove the driver. Just run the installation of the new one and you should be fine.

I've done that plenty of times, and the only issues I had was that some stuff required repeated attempts for them to be installed.

The last time I tried removing the drivers, it bricked the laptop.

Thanks mate! I just installed 13.1 over the older beta driver and kept the cap driver and ive noticed a slight performance increase but ive a lot of games still to test. Thanks for your good advice.

I don't know if you "need" to but I always do. I always follow these steps and I assume that uninstalling the CAP profiles is part of it:

Just found out bigmac that you still need the cap with 13.1 but the leaked bata driver needs cap to be uninstalled. Im not sure about trying the new leaked beta yet until i hear some good things about it. Im a bit anoyed lately at having to mess around with amd drivers this past year. Im considering going green sli soon. Im not a fanboy but have mainly gone red for a long time now. I just what the best gaming experience without the added messing around. Have you tried or heard anything about the new leaked driver.
