Question 144 hz monitor

Looking to upgrade my monitor for gaming. Was looking for a monitor that had a 144Hz refresh rate and sub 3ms response time. I also wanted something that wasn't too bright or distorting because I do some photo editing. Didn't know if anyone had recommended models? Thanks! Also, budget is sub $400.

For outright color accuracy, you'd ideally want to look to an IPS panel.
<3ms though, isn't really IPS's priority.

VA panels strike a balance between IPS (color) and TN (refresh/response)... Although I'd definitely do some research on the color reproduction of any given panel before buying.

This is one TN panel I was looking at and the reviews rave about the color accuracy for being a TN. HAve you heard about this one?

This Asus is supposed to be good. You have to take those manufacturer's response times with a grain of salt. It's best to check out the response time from a formal review of the unit.
