1440p YouTube CPU 100%

My CPU is at 100 percent when streaming high resolution YouTube videos. I get stuttering in the video even though the stream is buffered well ahead and my GPU is at 3%. The general consensus by other people with this problem is that they are trying to stream on centuries old Athlons and such.

I have:
Pentium G4600 at 3.60 GHz
EVGA GTX 750 Ti Superclocked
Asus STRIX B250I
8GB DDR4-2400

The 4600 is brand new and is supposed to be as good as high-end Skylake i3's, so why am I having this problem?

i think its the number of cores thats causing this issue. try only having one instance of chrome (or whatever your using) open while tring to watch youtube

ComputerGeek21, I have closed all other programs and my CPU is still hovering around 90%.

Which browser may be relevant ekstarry, which one are you using?

try using "microsoft edge" i know its not great but it should use less core power
