144ghz Monitor but geforce experience showing only 60ghz

I have a noob question that is probably stupid.

I have a BenQ 144ghz monitor, but geforce experience is telling me it is 60ghz. The rest of my hardware in geforce experience is showing is correct. Does this matter at all? I'm not sure how this geforce program works.

check display adapter settings.
under Monitor tab, there is a refresh rate. select the correct one. If there is only 60Hz option, check monitor settings (on the monitor menu)

Which display cable are you using, if Windows tells you you're running 60Hz too?

I'm using a dvi cable. I went into my monitors menu and found the current resolution is at 1080x1920@144ghz. I have done what no0ns said and now it shows at 144ghz in nvidia experience. How can I see what windows is showing I am running at?

if you did said, it's the way to see it. you can also check nvidia control panel, but that's what g exp is showing anyway.
