144hz am I doing it right?

Hi, I have a 144hz monitor and game settings set for 144Hz frame rate, but my graphis card in game does 85 -90fps, is it set ok or shoud I set my frame reate lower?

no its not, cant push 144, my question is, would the game look better if I would lower the monitors refresh rate if the graphic card cannot push 144hz anyway? Is there a point for me to have 144hz on? Pros - Cons?

well, if your not hitting 144hz, then maybe try it a lower setting. Try reducing it to 120hz or 100 maybe, and see if it's a better experience. When the frame rate matches the refresh rate, it is a smoother experience. Your GTX970 can use adaptive refresh rate (set in the Nvidia Control panel), see what that option does, and how the game feels whilst playing.
