144hz monitor made my fps dropped

I switched to my new 144hz monitor from 60hz monitor specifically for csgo. I was able to run the game at 250ish fps on 1080p resolution before on my 60 hz monitor but now im getting 40fps(drops) to 120fps now. I dont understand why is this happening im so embarassed right now.
I updated my graphics drivers already. Pls help 🙁

My Specs:
i5-4460
GTX1050ti 4gb
8gb RAM
Windows 10 64bit

1920x1080p both old and new monitor

i also tried lowering the graphics settings in csgo still same fps results

are you using hdmi 2.0 cable? or display port cable?

Use HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort
Disable VSync
Does your monitor has GSync? If so, turn it on (some monitors has it turned down when you buy it)
Are you sure that your monitor is 1080p?
