Look for some feed back on this machine that i am building for a friend. Pretty happy with all my selections. The only thing i have some reservations on is the case and heatsink. Was unable to find a lot of literature on them just want to make sure i am making good choices. PSU is a little big but wanted to leave some room for a second video card... also will be adding SSD down the road.

Thanks in advanced for feedback on the build

System will be overclocked

Where is the SDD?? I would suggest to downgrade the processor to an I5 2500K and get an SDD instead (may it be a 60-64gb or a 120-128 gb). For the rest it's good, except the GPU. 500$ is pretty high for what it gives, if you're willing to go dualGPU, go with a dual 6950 as they scale better to a gtx 590 for about the same price.

That machine is a sexy beast, but I do believe you'll take a hit on the hard drive. My personal thought is:
1 HDD = Good
2 HDD (RAID 0) = Better (and sometimes cheaper)
1 SSD = Best

Depending on the size of the SSD, most folks tend to have a HDD for their less urgent data.

A lot of to be made from what I can see.

1) If this is a build primarily for gaming, then why the 2600K when it has zero advantage over the 2500K in regards to gaming.

2) Same with the mobo. the Asrock P67 extreme4 Gen 3 is cheaper, and has less bugs ...especially in regards to the bios.

3) That 750GB h/d is going to be slower than say a 1TB h/d due to platter density.

4) Those lanboy's haven't gotten the greatest reviews with peeps using large vid cards

5) That 850w psu is lacking if you plan on eventually pushing dual 580's in SLI and having any kind of headroom.

6) That CM 212+ comes with great thermal compound...no need to buy that Arctic Silver
