Yes, it is a good monitor. It's got everything you need, and I think 23" is the perfect size.

if i get the cpu/mb combo from microcenter it's 60 bucks cheaper. now, is the difference in performance worth 60 dollars for the i7? i used to edit on a core2duo e6600 so it's definitely a step up either way?

that's my final build , i changed the case cuz am not sure that the havik would fit in the r4 , and for a Screen :

That is a kickass monitor. 120Hz is beautiful when it is powered by a good card! I think the 3770k is worth the $60 more, yes, because it's normally $120 more.
