160W 280 DELL SLIM PSU Enough?

Is this PSU enough for an AM2+ MOBO, Phenom x3 8650, dvd burner ,500gb hard drive and a low profile 5450 radeon?

well let's give the card 20 watts, and the CPU 100. that leaves about 30 for everything else. ideally it would work, but it would be really tight.

The 160w psu from a gx280 only has 11a on the 12v rail so I doubt it will reliable power the system.

well that is 132 watts hypothetically, but yeah, that is an issue, as the processor will use 95 that would leave roughly 10 for the HDD and DVD burner. now of course, a DVD burner is rarely ever running while the system is at full load, but yeah too close for comfort, I would not do it now that I know that amperage rating.

probably not , and if yes you can kill the PSU or even other components . get a 350w PSU from a good brand

OK thanks I was thinking that it wont work, just figured I would look for a better PSU, thing is the original Slimline PSU come at around 160w - 200w and I need it for a slim case. I will just get a generic 300w PSU but just hope it fits without obstructing the 5450 radeon

there are SFX power supplies that go up to 650 watts I believe, note that they are not as cheap as an ATX one.

well 16 amps sure trumps 11 amps, that will be a much better idea. as you are not bringing that PSU near its limit, it should be fine.
