Hay lunyone, :pt1cable: you maybe luny after all. Buying that samsung idea may have fried your brains out.

Its funny, people will stay away from a brand from one bad experience, you need to look at the big picture. You cant make a random assumption from 1 or 2 failures. If you have ever worked in the warranty department of a PC manufacturer like myself, you have a much better idea of whats going on.I have been out of that job for a while (5 years), but back then samsung, seagate and maxtor had the highest failure rate, and most catastrophic failures. Also, many of the failures are due to the way drives are shipped, have you seen how courriers and storepeople handle goods? im surprised there arent more DOA hard drives.

i'm in the minority there. i never had a maxtor drive fail on me. they i had no choice they were always the HDD i i got when getting a pre-built system .but I never did get them when i started building my own systems though

have had seagate, western digital and a samsung all begin to fail on me. However they all were used 24/7 appart from the seagate one. drive any hard drive hard for a long time and it will fail.

People save porn? That stuff gets old soooo quickly. Who wants to watch the same thing over and over again when you can get new stuff?
