Hi,

I just built a new PC for the holidays and wanted to see what is normal with my CPU temps.

I have a AMD Ryzen 9 9900x, being cooled by a H100i LCD. While at idle, I am holding anywhere from 47C-52C. People I know say the new AMDs run hotter, but that seems a bit hot.

Additionally, the LCD screen will indicate ( what seems randomly ) a spike to 60C-70C and go directly back down to 50ish. Is this normal?

I will update with under load temperatures if that helps soon. EDIT: just played a game of league of legends while streaming in discord. Temps were about 64C then dropped to 53C after the game.

Thanks!

It's quite normal for temps to peak up and down, it's CPU responding to demands from OS, it will not do anything on it's own or from other causes. All those temps you get are normal and more than acceptable considering it can run up to 95c without loosing a bit of performance.
