Question 16Gb installed: Windows see 8Gigs of RAM, CPU-z sees 16Gb
Model of the motherboard: ASUS Maximus V Formula
Model of the memory: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3 DRAM 2400MHz (CMD16GX3M4A2400C9)
Model of the CPU: Intel i7 3700k

I'm having this problem with the ASUS Maximus V Formula combined with a i7 3700k, I updated to the latest bios Version 1802 and I have the CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3 DRAM 2400MHz (CMD16GX3M4A2400C9)CPU-Z detects 16Gb,. I tried resitting and rearranging the modules, different speeds (1333mhz to 2400mhz) and swtiching between XMP/manual/auto, but so far no luck. Any Ideas?

I also tried clearing the CMOS, without luck.

Have you tried all of the sticks individually? I guess its possible you have a bad stick or a bad slot. You may have already done this but try each stick by itself in slot 1, if that all works pick a single stick and try it in all 4 slots to see if you have a bad slot.

Slightly better (or at least easier) option is to use a mechanical pencil. remove the lead put it around the pin and stand it back up straight (assuming the pin isn't like bent flat)

Oh hell you learn something every day I knew home premium only allowed 16gigs didn't realize that about Home Basic.
