16ms LCD-TV in Q1/03

Today, ChiMei announced volume shipping of a 16ms 37.5in LCD-TV for 1st quarter next year.

This is what I already predicted, fast panels will come 1st for high end tv and not for monitors and 4sure not by envision. Who the heck is envison? do they have the power to develop new technology? how many patents do they have? Nah..there just buying stuff...and if a fast monitor panel is available it will come first from one of the big players.

Who is Envision? Envision is a brand, the company behind Envision is AOC who happens to be the second-largest manufacturer of PC monitors internationally. Do they have the power to develop the technology, you bet they do.

Don’t let names fool you, just because you never heard of or the brand is not well known doesn’t mean there isn’t a giant company behind them.

There are many other names you have never heard of like Sampo, Amtran, Compal, Delta, BENQ to name only a few that actually manufacture most of the so called brand name monitors on the market today.

You have heard of ViewSonic for example, many of the companies listed above make the ViewSonic branded monitors.
