17.3 not actually 17.3?

Hi guys, I am interested in buying a gaming laptop that's classed as 17.3 inches. However my current laptop is said to be 17.3 inches but is actually 16.5 inches long. How can I find out the actual size of the laptops online without having to see them in person? It's easy to see how big the screen will be based on the look of the bezels but hard to tell if a 17.3 inch laptop is actually 17.3 instead of lets say 16.5? Any help or insight would be appreciated

You've gotten the measurements backwards; laptops aren't classified like this based on their physical size, but the diagonal measure of their screens. A 17 inch laptop with a thick bezel and a 17 inch laptop with a thin bezel are going to have the same size screens.

If you want the physical length of a laptop, you're going to have to check the physical dimensions, which will vary from laptop to laptop.

Hey, thanks.
Do you by any chance know of a website or how I could find that info out online before buying or seeing it in person?

Most sites should have that info on the specs info somewhere.
