19 inch upgrade - frame rates in the crapper

Just upgraded my 17 inch Viewsonic to a 19 inch Viewsonic - and my framerates on ST Voyager: Elite force are way down.
Running a P3 o/c to 910 mhz w/ a Kyro2 and 256 mb of PPC133. 16 bit color, high quality graphics.
Ran very fast on my 17 incher - does a larger screen take more out of the card?

What is your resolution set to? 1024X768 or higher, and then what was your resolution set to on your 17in monitor?

sounds like resolution, but wouldnt the game keep it's settings as far as resolution goes???
i know quake3 does that, and elite force is a quake3 engine based game.....so shouldn't it's settings stay too?
just a thought..
did you change anything else?
maybe something changed and caused the framerate drop...

The only thing I'm remembering right now as a possible cause of your problem is if you have VSync on (most likely) and didn't optimize your monitor refresh rates (and windows set it to default).

May be completely off track though...
