19 or 22" monitors gaming quality

Hey all, this might seem like a stupid question.. probably is 😛... but if i have a 22" monitor i don't know about you but when i play a game i sit rather close.. is the scream going to be more "fuzzy" looking than a 19" yes itll be bigger but the closer im sitting is the quality going to go down?

Not if you run it at is native resolution. In fact, it should look even more sharp than the 19", especially while gaming. (High resolution textures ftw!)

Just make sure you've got it in it's native resolution! (If it's a 22" widescreen w/ a 16:10 aspect ration, you're looking at a 1680x1050 res) If you run it at 1280x1024 or 1440x900 (19" res) it's going to look extremely fuzzy / blurry. Be warned though, when you increase your resolution, you decrease performance, so if you've got an old GPU that is struggling to display current games... a larger monitor is only going to slow it down more.

I use a 22" wide too, ive only ever run it at 1680x1050 res (even on crysis 😀) and its so much better than any 17 or 19 ive used. I sit about 2' away from it so it fills my vision pretty well!

24" Wide 1920*1200 everything maxed out That's fun and fills my vision AND my satisfaction perfectly alright!

If you have an awesome GPU such as ATI 3870 or Nvidia 8800 or better GPU, then you might want to go for a 24" with native 1920x1200 (or better) but you would have to sit about a metre away (or about 3 feet).

I found that a 20.1" is the best...especially if you're like me and your monitor is 2 feet away from you. Mine is native 1650x1050 and I have a 8800GTX so I can play all my games at native resolution with all settings at highest (usually AA8 & Q16 ani...)...excluding Crysis.
