I broadly agree with you. My issue with some of the comments above is that some people are measuring gaming performance purely by FPS. You give me the choice of: a) Stock cooler + HDD + Radeon 280 or b) aftermarket cooler + SSD + Radeon 270 and I will always pick the latter. The stock cooler is unreasonably loud and the noise ruins the gaming experience for me, I find it incredibly...

I think that 16gb of ram is overkill on this build I would go for the 8 gig kit and beef up the GPU. Also is your heart set on an AMD card? They do have good price to performance ratio's but they do run at 95 degrees C and are power hungry. Is that something that you need to consider? If it is look into a 760 or 770 from Nvidia or a pair of 750's in sli.

All the advice you have been given is good but ultimately this is your build so you need to decide how you want to focus your system. If you are patient and just want the best gaming experience for your money then spend most of your budget on the GPU and CPU. If you want an all rounder and don't like waiting then drop the CPU and GPU spec's and add an SSD. Ultimately we can all advise you but it's your system and you will have to live with it so take your time and make the best decision for you.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far.
Here is the link, i think the old one broke:

I have made some changes and I am almost breaking $800. Would like to try to get closer to $700 if possible.
I am re-using my optical drive from current PC to save money.
I want a SSD drive, but it does not have to be this one. Can I save money here?
I have dropped the 1 TB HDD and will use my current 2 TB WD Green instead, to save more money, then to drop the SSD.
I have dropped the cooler. at 8 GB Ram.
Any where you see I can trim the price but keep the quality on how the build is now?
I am thinking the Video card is the only thing left i change to a lower priced to save additional money.

Also any suggestions for a budget monitor? Would like to keep that between $100 and $150.

It's a good idea to use your old HDD and optical to keep the cost down a quick format of your old HDD will keep it good for quite a while. The link says that you are at $711 I would stick with that there isn't really any fat left to trim, but the system looks good to me. I can't really advise you on a monitor because I live in the UK so your prices will differ. That CPU, GPU and SSD will ensure that your system is pretty beasty for some time. Happy Gaming :)

To have more money for better components , just remember you can save on a bottom end of stock case which does little for end performance nor does a LED lit fan with top end bearings, put the extra $$ back into a better GPU where it's seen at the screen. You do state you want a decent gaming PC at a low budget, the way I got there was going 2nd hand on the case, fans, ram and psu and blew the savings on a 1/2 decent GPU that was way off my list at the start. Upgrade those bits later when you have the money.
