1TB Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex external HD is not detecting by the computer but light blinks on it..

I had the EXACT problem and after hours of downloading programs like SeaTools and researching THIS FIXED it. You probably need to assign a drive letter to it
Probably you are missing a driver.
In run give the command, devmgmt.msc
It wil open the device manager. Does it show anything related to your device with a yellow colored exclamatory mark??

Right click on My Computer and select Manage. On the following screen,
click on Disk Management. It should show up on the right hand side of the
screen. Assign it a drive letter.

if its not under Disk Drives or Removable Storage, it can be listed under USB controllers. It can have a little x on the icon. Upon right clicking it you can found that it had somehow becomed disabled on your computer. Re-enable


GO TO THE FIRST LINK under assign it a drive letter.

I think this does fix my problem but is there a way to change the drive letter without having to format the external hd?

Problem :- Goflex Home Nas is not detected on LAN network i.e. Light is blinking green for 2 minutes and thereafter turn blinking Amber

Solution :- I had faced above problem in last week and my 2TB nas was not getting connected to my home network, after 3-4 days searching the same problem over net but no proper solution found then, I gone through seagate troubleshoot and found the solution as below

Press and hold reset button with pin for about 10 seconds or till the bottom light glows white then release the button. Here no data will be erased or loss only sign in and setting will be set to factory default. Then you can access the drive as if first boot and wola your seagate goflex nas is at your service again....

Hi everybody i have the same issue, my disk doesnt appear but if you put a USB on your ports and then you connect your HardDisk its works!!!
I dont know why? but works!
