1TB Storage Not Showing Up

I bought my WD Blue 1TB Storage last summer and it didn’t show up when I looked in my Storage... so I gave up. Now, I tried to make it work again but still doesn’t show up.

It might be a defective one, if you tested different SATA ports and cables. You should have RMA-ed it while under warranty. It happens with storage drives.

Does it appear in there?

It doesn’t show up in my Disk management but last time I looked into it. It showed but didn’t work

1. Is this an internal or external USB drive?
2. Is it properly connected?

3. Are you 100% sure it does not appear in your current Disk Management window?

It’s a internal and I’m sure it’s properly connected and it doesn’t show up in my Disk Management, it only shows up my Windows HardDrive

Possibilities, in no particular order:

1. Still not quite connected
2. Bad cable
3. Bad motherboard port
4. Dead drive

Does it appear to spin up at all? Any vibration from it?

2. Bad cable
3. Bad motherboard port
4. Dead drive

Does it appear to spin up at all? Any vibration from it?

Probably a dead drive... I tried a new HDD with the same cables and it works.
