I'm building a HTPC with dual graphics cards and I want to run my pc through my home theater receiver. I will have two graphics going in to one hdmi port in my receiver. Do I need to have an hdmi splitter to go from two to one? Would it be possible to go from two display ports to one hdmi, and would that make a difference in resolution and sound?
I have a Samsung 4K tv and onkyo 7.2 receiver. The other idea is to run one higher end graphics card that would make things easier.
My thought was 1 1080 or 1 1070 or 2 1060s or R9 480s
But I thought it would be better for 4K gaming using two graphics cards instead of one I was thinking they would run more efficiently making the case have lower temps.
