Question 2 new HDDs stuck on boot logo, works fine in NAS

Hi guys,

I bought yesterday 2 Toshiba P300 3TB harddrives.

My PC gets stucked on boot logo.

Motherboard is aours pro wifi trx40 rev 1.0, with latest bios (f6), CPU 3960x, I have 2 pre-existing nvme m.2 ssds, and windows is on one of this.

Tested the hdds one by one, switched sata cables, switched slots, the same issue. Disconnecting them, PC works fine.

I’ve connected them to NAS 542, they work fine, but dont want to use them like that as they are not designed for NAS.

At boot logo, if I press del or f12 for bios or boot order, it’s not working.

What can be the issue?

if your sata power cable has 5th wire for 3.3v input, then drive will not spin on non NAS PC, you will need to cut that 5th wire or use adapter which removes 3.3v line
