Question 2 year long problem, AMD.................

For 2 years eveer since i built my PC, ive had problems, mainly playing games, BSOD, stutters, crashing, tho i have rectified most of the problems, dont really get any BSOD anymore etc, but it seems that whenever i play games, i get about 5-20 minute play time and then it will just freeze and hit desktop, some games get critical error pop up depending on which game, some games it has no error pop up, i've done everything you could possibly think of to fix this <MOD EDIT profanity removed> mess, ive rolled back to numerous drivers, ive installed fresh versions of windows multiple times, my HDD and SDD are in good health using CrystalDisk etc, i've ran MemTest for over 18 hours no errors, i have the latest Bios regarding the technology that my computer has, latest windows update, latest GPU driver, ive gone into the Bios to change the PCIe from Gen 4 to Gen 3, problem is still there, I can go all day listing the things ive tried, this is taxing.

OS: Windows 10 Home
GPU: 5700xt
CPU: 3700x
MO: x570 Gigabyte Auros
RAM: Corsair Veng LPX 32Gb 2x16GB DDR4-3200
Cooler: Noctua NH-D15
SSD: 2x Samsung 860 Evo 1TB
M.2: WD Black 500gb
PSU: Corsair RMx 750w

Like I said most of the problems that this computer has had since day 1 has been fixed overtime, but still currently when i try to play most games i own, i.e Warzone, Dota 2, World fo Warships, Tanks etc it will perform, good temps, good usage via task manager and then it will just hit desktop most time no error pop up, like today im keeping keen eye while i test the situation on warzone, everything looking great, then the GPU usage will just decide to hit 0% when the game will just freeze, the computer is still running perfectly fine i can use my mouse on other tab while this happens but the game is locked, ive looked all over online and i cant seem to find people will similar problem, there was i time during the 2 years where this problem didnt exist for a few months tbf but then it just came back again, where i coudl play any game anytime no problem, but yeah, now if i play warzone for instance it would just freeze and hit desktop, plz help.

Bios version: F36
Driver: AMD 22.3.1

X.M.P is also off, for some reasion ive always had trouble with it on.

open system information app
in the left hand column, click on the arrow next to Software Environment
Click on windows error reporting and let it populate window. it might take a while if you not used it before
click on header for type, this sorts them into Application errors or Windows errors.
You can upload screen shots to an image sharing website, and show links here to show what errors you getting.

have you run magician on the Samsung drives - https://semiconductor.samsung.com/consumer-storage/support/tools/

some of those on 2nd image seem to say storage? what does it show if you extend the column:?

I see one or two BEX errors
A BEX error is a “Buffer Overflow Exception”. This error is typically raised when Microsoft Windows detects that a program tries to put more data than possible in a region of memory. This is the computer equivalent of overfilling a glass with water until the water spills over

its an application error, in that its a problem with the program. Try uninstalling and reinstalling it again.

I see some BSOD there?
Can you follow option one on the following link - here - and then do this step below: Small memory dumps - Have Windows Create a Small Memory Dump (Minidump) on BSOD - that creates a file in c windows/minidump after the next BSOD

  1. Open Windows File Explore
  2. Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump
  3. Copy the mini-dump files out onto your Desktop
  4. Do not use Winzip, use the built in facility in Windows
  5. Select those files on your Desktop, right click them and choose 'Send to' - Compressed (zipped) folder
  6. Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox . . . etc.)
  7. Then post a link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you . . .
which Aorus X570? there are a few. I have an Aorus X570 Elite Wifi.

i did say it in my instructions

The Bex errors aren't actually showing me what file is to blame

the ones I thought were storage are actually windows store updates. which failed to work on the last few days.

that isn't likely to cause the crashes though... i would think?

i have actually reported a bug with the system info app as it doesn't sort the date field in any logical order. its alphanumeric

haven't seen the intel program not work before. its currently stuck offering me a BT driver that doesn't install.

right click start button

choose powershell (admin)

copy/paste this command into window:

Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth and press enter

Then type SFC /scannow and press enter

First command repairs the files SFC uses to clean files, and SFC fixes system files

SFC = System File Checker. First command runs DISM - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/what-is-dism?view=windows-11

is that Radeon drivers? I thought you meant https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/x570

its even less than mine so it should be okay. Do you ever run anything that needs more than 32gb? Star Citizen?
is it set to auto in advanced settings? if so, windows will grow it if it needs it.

which is primary? i see 3 drives.

If its the WD, you could run https://support.wdc.com/downloads.aspx?lang=en&p=279 and run the tests it has.

did you run the scans on Magician? Trying to figure out why games just lock up.

Yeha i ran the samsung hard drive tool you sent, everything is fine, ran full scan, diagnos etc all fine, i have latest bios, latest gpu driver, this has been a problem for so long, im feel like just giving up and making do until i can afford an entirely new PC, because i spend most time trying to figure the corruption in the PC and its just flat out annoying, i cant be arsed anymore tbh, i have a ps5, id rather just play that, i can play dota 2 etc on PC fine but for higher end games like Warzone etc the PC just doesnt want to what its meant to do

I run DISM, SFC I have been for months, never 1 corrupted file, latest GPU driver after DDU, newest BIOS, tried Gen 3 Gen 4 PCIe in BIOS, tried XMP and no XMP, tried rolling back drivers, tried re installing windows, ive tried evrything under the sun

I'm starting to just think that the GPU is cooked, I got the 5700xt the day it was released where I live and since ive had problems, mainly i thought it was drivers, because AMD have a horrible past with drivers, i had a 980ti nvidia before this build and never had a problem with it, i go AMD i get this mess, im starting to think the it's a combination of poor drivers and poor hardware, i was one of the unlucky ones regarding the hardware, but im not going to take the risk of spending money on a GPU when i could be wrong, i doubt im wrong but you never know with PC, im just going to wait it out and maybe within the next year or 2 ill buy a whole new PC, because this is just flatout ridiculous.
